Bright Web Digital LLC builds and maintains websites and online listings for local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we keep it safe.

Information we collect

When you contact us. When you fill out the form on our website, email, call or text us, we collect what you send, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and message.

When you become a client. To build and run your website and listings, we collect your business details, menu or service list, prices, hours, photos and logo; the name, email and phone number of the person we work with; your signature on the Client Service Agreement; and billing details.

Card and bank details are entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Access to your accounts. For some plans we need manager access to your Google Business Profile. You add us as a manager using Google’s own tools. We never ask for, or keep, your passwords.

When you visit our website. Our website host may record basic technical information, such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location, to keep the site running and to show us overall traffic. We don’t use this to identify you.

How we use it

To answer your questions and give you a quote; to build, publish and maintain your website, Google Business Profile and, on Premium, your social media posts; to bill you and send receipts; to send you your monthly report and service updates; and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only what each one needs: Stripe for payments and billing; Jotform for electronic signatures; Google for email, phone, file storage and your Google Business Profile; Framer for our own website and its contact form; Cloudflare for hosting client websites; and social media platforms for the Premium posts we publish for you.

Information goes to these providers over encrypted connections, through their own secure systems. We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold, under this same policy. Anything you ask us to publish on your website, such as your menu, hours and photos, is public by design.

How we keep it safe

All our websites and the services above use encrypted HTTPS connections. Payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the payment card industry’s security standard (PCI DSS). Our business accounts are protected with two-step verification. We use delegated “manager” access to client accounts, never shared passwords. Client information is accessed only by the owner of Bright Web Digital.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

How long we keep it

We keep client information while you’re a client, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting rules require. Inquiries that don’t become clients are deleted after a reasonable time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us. Some billing records must be kept for legal reasons.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
